Mi240 HYDRAULIC exhibited at interplas 2023 this week, with the technical team from Performance Biolubricants on hand to demonstrate the product’s advantages to manufacturers and OEMs at the show.
Plastic injection moulding is a ubiquitous, vital industrial manufacturing process. However, operators face the perennial challenge of oxidised oil deposits (“varnishing”) forming on the machinery. This results in system malfunctions such as valve jamming and causes downtime for repairs, cleaning, and off-line filtration. Varnishing costs money and reduces output; but there is another consideration – sustainability.
Replacing mineral-oil based hydraulic fluid with an ester-based alternative addresses the cost/output problems and in addition delivers tangible sustainability advantages.
